PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY

The Overnight Program is open to all schools and organized groups.  Pre-visit planning is essential to the success of the Program, and is the responsibility of the teacher or group leader.

TEACHER/SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensuring completed medical forms are submitted to Fort Henry staff on the arrival date.
• Ensuring completed Parental Consent forms for all minors are submitted to Fort Henry staff on the arrival date.
• Providing transportation for the group to and from Fort Henry.
• Arriving and departing according to program schedule.
• Providing a 5:1 student: adult ratio.
• Observing and enforcing Fort Henry's policies and regulations.
• Providing leadership and discipline for the group throughout the Program.
• Providing leadership and discipline for the group throughout the Program.
• Preparing lessons for Teacher Times.
• Ensuring students are able to participate in sports and games.
• Making Program Fee cheque payable to the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, and ensuring these monies are paid at the commencement of the Program.  If applicable, the food services cheque will be payable to the food concessionaire, to be determined.
• Taking an active role in the delivery of the Program.
• Ensuring that Fort Henry and its properties are shown all due respect.
• Providing all foodstuffs and accoutrements for the group's meals and/or snacks through the Food Services Package, or in abidance with Fort Henry's guidelines.
• Ensuring the well being and safety of the group.
• Providing an up-to-date class list complete with telephone numbers upon arrival.
• Identify first aid certificate holders within the group upon arrival.

FORT HENRY WILL IN TURN PROVIDE:

• Resource personnel and specialized equipment for program activities.
• Historic overnight accommodation for the group.
• Historic costumes.
• Site security.
• First aid facilities.
• Telephone access for group leaders.
• An orientation for all group leaders outlining location of all pertinent locales, settings, etc. upon arrival.
