FORT HENRY OVERNIGHT PROGRAM
SCHEDULE

DAY ONE - Saturday, September 28, 2002

9:00 a.m.

Group arrives at Bridlewood Community Elementary School and loads Bus

12:00 p.m.

Group arrives at Fort Henry and stows gear away under direction of Fort Henry personnel

12:15 p.m.

LUNCH

1:00 p.m.

Orientation and historical outline tour of the facility led by Fort Henry personnel.  Leader and adult supervisors will report for last minute briefing

2:00 p.m.

Barrack Inspection

3:00 p.m.

Squads will proceed to Schoolroom, under the command of Fort personnel

3:30 p.m.

Squads will commence fatigues (cleaning chores) under command of leader

3:45 p.m.

Learn to become "Historical Detectives"

4:00 p.m.

History Hunt

5:00 p.m.

The recruits will lower the flag to signify end of the first day, then stand down for mess call (Supper)

6:45 p.m.

Barrack inspection

7:00 p.m.

Ghost hunt. This tour shows the Fort in a different light, and will emphasis Fort Henry's escape stories, show the routes deserters took, and even describe the story of the Battle of the Windmill and its aftermath at Fort Henry

8:00 p.m.

LEADER SUPERVISION: Group can complete own projects

LIGHTS OUT (End of Day One)


DAY TWO - Sunday, September 29, 2002

7:00 a.m.

Reveille

7:15 a.m.

Squads fall in for Breakfast

8:00 a.m.

"Fall In" on the Parade Square for final inspection, by Officer of the Day and to receive discharge papers

9:00 a.m.

Group departs Fort Henry for resumption of Civilian Life

-GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!-

12:00 p.m.

LUNCH at a picnic area in Kingston (site to be determined)
