Every year as part of Scout Canada's fundraising, we have Apple
Day. We meet at Bridlewood Community Centre with baskets or pails in
hand. Over a few hellos we polish our apples, pick up maps of areas we
will canvass, and of course apples.
Pair up a Beaver and Cub, parents will be required to act as drivers and
escorts for our youth, then we set off to our designated area. Should you
wish to do more than one street (as many do) just pick up extra maps!
Make sure you have lots of apples and thank you cards for the kind people
of Kanata!
Canvass one side of the street and then the other - do not zig zag
across the street and DO NOT enter anyone's home.
When you are done your streets, drive back to the meeting place and turn
in your can, leftover apples and cards. Know that you have done something
good to help other youth through Scouts Canada.
