Carleton District Council has booked two presentations of the
musical, "The Jungle Book" which is being presented at the
Ron Maslin Playhouse in Kanata, Ontario.
Cubs can earn requirement #4 towards their Canadian Arts Award.
The District Presentations will be on
Saturday, December 15, 2001 and Sunday, December 16,
2001.
The show starts at 2:30
p.m. The musical is approximately 75 minutes in
duration. There will be no intermission.
Doors open at 1:45 p.m. The audience
should be seated no later than 2:25 p.m.
The Playhouse seating for this performance will be for an audience
of 350.
Ticket prices -
are $3.00 each or Two for $5.00
Ticket sales will be based on the following procedure and
policy:
- Ticket Reservations
will be made from Monday, November 19 to Friday, November 23, 2001
inclusive, or until such time as there are no more
tickets left. Reservations of tickets will be done on
the basis of "first to call, first to reserve".

Ticket Reservations will be done on a Group or Section Basis, that
is, a Group or Section will "bulk" reserve the exact
number of tickets they desire. The reservation will be
divided into two ticket groupings as follows: the number of tickets
at $3.00 per ticket required, and the number of tickets at Two for
$5.00 required.
- For Example: First Carp. 15 tickets at $3.00
each and 10 tickets at Two for $5.00
- Cost of tickets would be $45.00 plus $25.00 = $70.00
- Groups or Sections will pay for all
their "reserved" tickets no later than Sunday, December 9,
2001.
- Tickets will be provided at the time of payment.
- "no refund policy" is in
effect. This means that once the tickets are
reserved for the Group or Section concerned, no refunds will be
provided nor will there be a change in the size of the ticket order,
nor tickets be turned back in to the ticket co-ordinator. That
means, using the above example, that First Carp would pay the $70.00
for the tickets and is responsible for recuperating the cost of the
tickets from within the Section or Group.
- Ticket reservations will be done only by telephone to the
phone number listed below. No reservations will be
accepted by e-mail or other means. If there is no answer, leave
the reservation order on the voice mail with the following
information: Group or Section placing the order, date and time of
call, and the name and phone number of the contact person.
The show is open to all Sections, based on first come first
served.
Playhouse
Tours: If Groups or Sections are
interested, arrangements could be made for a tour of the Playhouse
after the presentation. If interested, please advise the Ticket
Coordinator who will make the arrangements with the Playhouse
coordinator, Wendy Wagner.
Door
Prizes: A few door prizes (Scouting
Related stuff) will be offered. People attending the musical
should place their name and phone number on the back of their
tickets. The Draw will take place at the end of the
performance.
